About the Groundswell Aid general fund.
Groundswell Aid’s vision is to uplift grassroots projects where surfing and poverty intersect. We do this by partnering with projects around the world who have an intrinsic understanding of their community’s needs. This is asset based community development where local contacts drive how we support them.
Most of our fundraisers are focused around a specific project needs; like preventing Project Zoe in Brazil from losing their vital community space for children, or working with Aleph Surf in Jeffreys Bay to provide water filters to South African communities – the General Fund supports our essential operational work.
This includes things like marketing and communications, managing logistics, vetting grassroots projects and everything our general manager Sylven does to keep the groundswell moving forward.
