“Projecto Zoe” is located right on the beach and provides a safe place for the community of Lauro de Freitas that face daily crime and poverty. The Groundswell Aid community came together to support their need.

In our recent fundraising campaign, we successfully raised $3,300 USD to support Projecto Zoe, a vital community project located on Ipitanga Beach in Lauro de Freitas, Brazil. Founded by André Galvão in 2019, Projecto Zoe serves as a safe haven for children and families in one of Salvador’s most impoverished areas, where crime, drug, and alcohol addiction are prevalent.

The funds raised have helped sustain the program’s operations, ensuring that Projecto Zoe continues to provide a secure space where young lives are transformed through surfing, spiritual guidance, and social support. This initiative is more than just a surfing program; it’s a lifeline for many, offering hope and a path away from the dangers of addiction and crime.

With the support of our generous donors, Projecto Zoe can continue its mission to uplift the community, offering a place where children are nourished, families are supported, and positive change is fostered. This campaign is a testament to the impact we can make together, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed.
