Get Asheel to CSALT

Hope House in conjunction with Groundswell Aid is raising funds to get one of their young leaders; Asheel Taunnoo through a life-changing leadership training programme CSALT.

Hope House is a non-governmental organization in Mauritius with the purpose of social upliftment. While the island is a paradise to some, many locals suffer under the negative impacts of poverty, poor education, lack of opportunities, and unemployment. Groundswell Aid would love to get behind Hope House in allowing one of their young leaders to develop his leadership skills via a CSALT programme. An investment into this campaign will not only be life-changing for Asheel but also for the people of Mauritius and the youngsters who he has an influence on.

Who is Asheel?

Asheel is an amazing young man who has not had many opportunities as he has grown up. We met him through the Salt Surfer initiative over 7 years ago.

We have witnessed him taking hold of any opportunity afforded him to grow and be transformed by it. We have seen him grow in his confidence and in his natural ability as an influential leader amongst his peers. He has begun his amazing journey following Jesus and it’s been such a privilege for us to disciple him.

Asheel has shown an incredible servant heart as he has been key in being the translator for us to communicate effectively in our various initiatives when needed. Always with a smile on his face and a wonderful attitude. Such an amazing help.

He also works with us in the carpentry team where he shows great initiative and has a good work ethic.

Why CSALT?

CSALT will offer Asheel an opportunity to spread his wings further. To take the next step in preparing him to become an even better influencer and leader while balancing this with the opportunity to grow in his knowledge of God and working in a team with people from other cultures.

 This rubbing of shoulders with like-minded and gifted colleagues in CSALT will be a life-changing experience that in our humble opinion is absolutely crucial to unlocking the potential that Asheel possesses.
