PROJECTO ZOE

“Projecto Zoe” is a project that has been impacting the community of Bahia, Salvador in Brazil since 2019.

The project is run by André Galvão who has been a long-time local for 20+ years and has a big heart for his local community along Ipitanga Beach.

Lauro de Freitas is one of the poorest communities in Salvador Brazil “Projecto Zoe” is located right on the beach and provides a safe place for the community to belong, be loved, and grow.

The project serves around 50 kids and also uplifts the families of the kids as they face daily crime and poverty.

Drug and alcohol addiction is one of the biggest causes of violence in the community, and impacts the lives of many.

The meaning of ‘Zoe’ is a spiritual concept that represents life in its most complete and meaningful form.

To make a difference the purpose of “Projecto Zoe” is to bring new life through sharing the gospel to the community and help families come out of poverty.

They do this through several programs which uplift the community of Salvador in Brazil.

“Projecto Zoe” main program is a surf program to reach the kids and youngsters who are attending public schools.

They implement several programs

  • Food distribution

  • Discipleship

  • Leadership and chaplaincy training
