WAVE POINT FOUNDATION
Since launching in 2020, Wave Point Foundation has uplifted, impacted, and empowered the lives of people in Jbay through Feeding 1000’s during COVID-19, their surf leadership and education program that reaches 70+ young surfers weekly, their food-sustainable garden project, and their outreach to young people who are involved in gangsterism.
As a non-profit organization, they care deeply for the J-Bay community and the surrounding areas. Wave Point embraces opportunities to extend selfless love in genuine and practical ways through our community outreach projects.
Wave Point Surf Leadership
The Wave Point Surf Leadership was born out of a need to raise and develop future leaders using surfing and skating as vehicles.
About the Project:
4 days a week over 70 frothing surfers, girls, and boys, attend the surf leadership program focusing on leadership, education, surfing, and skateboarding.
The Program:
1. Leadership
"Everything rises and falls on leadership"
Wave Point believes that in order to affect change in our nation we need leaders with integrity, compassion, and good character.
Therefore, whether in the water or out of the water, leadership is the focus.
2. Education
Education sessions focus on assisting surfers with reading, extra math classes, homework assistance, and exam prep. These sessions are facilitated by our highly qualified teachers.
3. Surf & Skate
Wave Point their Surf & Skate sessions focus on mental well-being and pro-social behavior.
4, Advance Surf coaching.
This elite Surf-Specific Training program features our best promising surfers who have shown leadership qualities and improvement in their surfing. We coach our athletes to get the best results through surf conditioning, nutrition, fitness, and a winning mindset.
